Various types of algae can grow on the surface of the pool or in the water itself, under strong sunlight and inadequate levels of disinfectant. The most stubborn of these is the black algae, which adheres strongly to both the fugue and the pelvic lining, forming a multilayer colony, thus protecting the inner algae layers.

However, the algaecide set developed against black algae provides an effective solution to curb black algae proliferation and facilitate removal.
