The equipment is automatically controlled, and ensures continuous soft water supply. Water softening is performed by the resin charge of one of the columns at a time, the other one functioning as a reserve standby unit.

After softening a predefined quantity of water, the automatic control system starts the regeneration of the saturated ion exchange resin and it automatically performs the specific steps of the regeneration process.

Regeneration of the charge is done by filling high purity salt tablets into the regenerating tank. While the saturated charge is being regenerated, the reserve column performs water softening.
