One way of ion exchange desalination is mixed bed ion exchange desalination.
The mixed bed ion exchange equipment contains a defined proportion of mixed cation exchanger and anion exchange resin.
The cation exchange resin is in the regenerated state hydrogen, and the anion exchange resin is in the hydroxyl ion form, which removes the cation and anion content of the water with excellent efficiency.
The ion exchange resin replaces the cations dissolved in water with hydrogen and the anions with hydroxylions that recombine into water. This produces high-purity desalinated water.
Mixed bed desalination equipment is primarily used for further treatment of pre-desalinated water or for small water needs.
The equipment can be operated continuously until the resin charge is exhausted. A part of the mixed bed desalination device is a conductivity meter that can measure the salt content of the treated water, indicating the exhaust of the ion exchange charge. After the exhaustion, the resin charge cannot be regenerated locally, only at the resin regeneration station.
Continuous water production can be ensured by installing a spare cartridge (spare column).
If the ion exchange resin is saturated, the column can be replaced in a short time.

- The built-in conductivity meter measures the conductivity of the treated water, so that the quality of the water produced can be monitored continuously and indicates that the resin charge is exhausted.

APPLICATION:
- serving low-water, high-quality technologies (eg electronics, lab equipment, laboratories)
- post-treatment of desalinated water to produce high purity water

If the charge is exhausted, the resin may not be regenerated on site. Exhaustion of the resin is indicated by the conductivity meter mounted on the cartridge by light of the red lights.
The cartridge can not be regenerated in the equipment, the cartridge needs to be replaced with a replacement cartridge, and the exhausted charge for the regeneration must be delivered to the site we provide.
